Jane Rapanganwa, originally from Zimbabwe in Southern Africa, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, USA. With 13 years of experience in humanitarian and developmental work, research and programming, she is deeply committed to driving positive change, particularly for marginalized and underserved communities.
Before relocating to the United States, Jane was serving as Site Outreach Lead for Zimbabwe’s National Sex Work Program, spearheading initiatives aimed at reducing HIV and STI prevalence among sex workers,including male, female, and transgender individuals who are key populations in the fight against infectious diseases. In the U.S., she did her Curricular Practical Training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she contributed to research efforts focusing on HIV and STI prevention among African-born women residing in the country.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jane enjoys listening to music and traveling, finding inspiration in exploring new places.
