Ibaad Ullah Durrani is the Program Coordinator for Reception and Placement Services at the Refugee Dream Center. He is also the founder and former Executive Director of Afghans for Afghans, a nonprofit that offers free English, digital-literacy, and math classes to girls in Afghanistan. In addition, he established Kabul Global Consultants, a for-profit firm that provides IELTS preparation and visa-advising services.
Ibaad holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Afghanistan, currently in Doha, Qatar, where he has served as a consultant English instructor. Over seven years in the classroom, he taught academic writing, test preparation, and business communication to hundreds of students.
Born and raised in Afghanistan, he came to the United States as a refugee and now draws on his nonprofit leadership, teaching, and business experience to help newly arrived families build stable, independent lives in Rhode Island. His interests outside of work are cricket, soccer, reading, and weightlifting.
