Mission, Vision and Values

Mission

Refugee Dream Center (RDC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) engaged in the reception, placement, and post-resettlement refugees. Our approach is based on offering direct services to receive refugees and gap filling to ensure refugee self-sufficiency. RDC is also a strong advocacy agency for the rights of refugees.

Vision

Refugee Dream Center is a common venue for community engagement, cultural exchange, and a home away from home for refugees. It is a place for caring, self-help, healing, personal and professional development, and a venue for empowerment, strengths cultivation, and accompaniment toward success.

We offer job search assistance, interview prep, and resume building.

Disability rights are legal and social measures that ensure people with disabilities have equal access, opportunities, and protection in society.

Spousal Rights

We believe in fulfilling marital obligations and responsibilities.

Legal & Immigration Support

As the threat of mass deportation and detention looms, RDC is here to offer our support and assistance.

Children's Rights

We strongly advocate for the rights of all children, regardless of their citizenship status or background.

Tenant Rights

Tenants in Rhode Island have the right to a habitable dwelling, receipt of security deposit, protection against unlawful evictions, and privacy. They also have the responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of their unit and use property features in a reasonable manner.

Health Access

We have various programs and services to assist our community members understand and access healthcare.
